Bintan

The moment I chionged back from Bintan, I was at Long Beach Restaurant (East Coast).

It's the usual Chinese New Year feasts. Even though I'm allergic to seafood, I still love it. Especially Prawns (this type I also like) and Black Pepper Crab.

While I was there, I was on a constant look-out for TPSS's teacher(s). The other time, I saw Mdm Loh there. But sadly, she never give me a red packet.

Bintan was okay. I had really good dreams there. Sad to say, dreams will never come true. My sleeping hours were longer, shioker and more fulfilling. Maybe it's the relaxing nature of the resort.

I swam around too. It's been a long time. I didn't exactly swim, all I did is to play with the water.

So here the pictures from Bintan. Again they are unedited, so enjoy it.

Now doing some final preparations.

So bye! Enjoy the holidays.

新 (xin) 年 (ni) 来 (lai) liao

Today, I'm going to be a good boy, go home early, and then do some final cleaning up.

Then on Saturday, it's the usual visiting of various temples around Singapore and some reunion dinner at my ah ma's house.

Finally on Sunday, I'm going to Bintan.

But I don't know ijit I becoming very old and jaded already. There seems to be nothing exciting about Chinese New Year. I don't look forward to having hong paos. Chinese New Years feels just like a normal holiday (in fact every festival in Singapore does). Something is seriously lacking. In fact, this has been happening for so long, that something seems to leave further away with each passing year.

Even some Ang Moh(Jessica Alba) is the Chinese New Year spokes(wo)men for Singapore's very own Tiger Beer advertisement. So sad.

Nevertheless, I wish that you have a very Happy Chinese New Year, Million Things Like Meaning and Learn Work In Steps. And the mother of all importance, get as many red packets as you like.

I Not Stupid Too

On the way to watching it, I saw my JC friends, Lionel and Aisyah.

They look great together. What brightens up my day (or night) was that they looked really really happy to see me. We chatted for less than 30 seconds.

Ironically, I saw Yu Feng earlier in the day. I said Hi! to him. He said Hi back but he sounded so compelled to do so.

I like the movie. It has got good acting, storyline, and most importantly, a purpose.

When you watch the movie, you can't help but feel that it actually reflects your life somehow or rather. In that sense, it's a very strong movie because can you think of a movie that makes you feel that way?

Perhaps the only annoying thing about I Not Stupid Too is it's theme song's obvious rip-off of Gay Chou's 'In The Name Of Father'. Other than that, there are no major complaints.

In the end, what sets I Not Stupid Too apart from any other movie you had watched is it's heart. It is such a 'Singaporean' film, I feel so refreshed watching it after countless Hollywood films for so long. Even local dramas can't match the 'Singaporean-nity' in this great film. Although everthing gets predictable at the very end, it is certainly well worth your money and time.

People think they know me

I have never feel ashamed when I play the lousy-graphics-stupid-game-childish-and-immature-Nintendo DS (Gameboy in layman terms). For the record, I didn't pay $800 and counting to feel shameful.

You are just a superficial person. One who doesn't know anything. Keep it inside you and don't criticise. It will only make you look like kukubird scratching the surface.

-

People call me a 'fuck' when I don't want to accompany them to buy things.

Drenched in irony.

You are the 'fuck' when you are such a mature person who can't even buy things on your own. And I wonder why people called me ghey and crybaby.

-

People call me 'boring' when I prefer to watch movies and have dinner with my Father.

My Father is divorced and is a lonely person (locally) who works very hard to support me. The least I can do is to accompany him on movies and dinners. I feel bad when I decide to watch movies with my friends. So sometimes I will watch the same movie twice. Please, I don't feel oh-so-noble for doing that. To add on, I have had far too many experience of people rejecting me. So one day I said to myself 'fuck it' and from then on only Wai Kit has asked me out for movies (and the occasional Poly friends but once I was ditched and I went home.)

And are you sure I'm a boring person? Obviously, (here I go again) you don't know me.

-

I feel I'm too nice at times. People take me for granted.

Look up at me boy, I don't owe you anything.

If not accompanying you to buy things isn't 'friend enough', then I rather not be your friend.

Close encounter with Europeans

For the first time, I have close encounters with Europeans onboard a flight.

I took Scandinavian Airlines to Bangkok.

I didn't do much there. As usual, just went to MBK, Chinatown, and some Night Market. No time for Massage. =(

ALL PICTURES ARE UNEDITED.
