Guan Yin Forgive Me

The other day I accidentally keep beoing my friend's girlfriend. Not my fault ah, I didn't know. But as they used to say :

To deny our impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human.

And when I looked at her, I experienced many many deja vus. But in the end, it wasn't a glitch in the matrix. She was just my ex primary school mate.

So this Saturday/Sunday, I will go to Si Beh Law to seek mercy and forgiveness from Guan Yin.

My Dearest Goddess Of Compassion, I didn't mean to beo my friend's girlfriend. And I really never fantasize about her. There wasn't enough time for me to picture everything and put the pieces together. Please don't make my results lousy lousy and please continue to protect my family and friends. Kum Sia.

Heroes

The series tells the story of people who "thought they were like everyone else ... until they woke with incredible abilities." The premise is that these people have a role in saving mankind.[3]

According to the official NBC website, not only do the characters discover what having superpowers means to them, but also uncover a larger picture concerning the origin of their superpowers. The characters eventually become involved in each other's lives as they attempt to evade the series antagonist, who wishes to harness their "super DNA" for his own ends.

Yesterday I went back to my Primary School

My Primary School very rich. Happy happy say rebuilt everything means rebuilt. (See the picture, so swee and nice they still want to rebuild.) So we had a BBQ session there then talked about lots of the childish things we did back then.

One of my favourite Movie Moments

That's what movies are lacking these days. Memorable, impactful moments. When I first saw it, it was oh-my-god, then I laughed because it was funny.

The Inside Thing Nowadays Is Elites and Good Engrish

You all got notice or not? Firstly, there's this MP's daughter who -

i am inclined - too much, perhaps - to dismiss such people as crackpots. stupid crackpots. the sadder class. too often singaporeans - both the neighborhood poor and the red-taloned socialites - kid themselves into believing that our society, like most others, is compartmentalized by breeding. ridiculous. we are a tyranny of the capable and the clever, and the only other class is the complement.

Wah lan eh. After the first two words only I don't know what is 'inclined' already man. But the passage looks very nice and sophisicated. Even though I don't understand the passage, I still think it's a very good English passage. I remember in Primary school, I used to fail English. Especially at the part in the English tests where they tests you on your matured vocabularly. Everytime they give you something blank to fill in, then I always choose the very sophisicated and cheem cheem word, but I still always get wrong.

My class also got one Elite. But belong to lousier type of elite, because he is Polytechnic student. To summary it up, he's those 'I rock like Sylvester Sim while you suck like Gay Chou and God Forbid Anyone Who Has A Different Opinion' type.

My Ah gong, ah ma, Father, Mother, younger sister, cousins, auntie, uncle, great ah gong and great ah ma always tell me that one mountain higher still got another one higher. I think it's true because today I read the cheem cheem TIMES magazine and I read that Mount Everest has lost 37 metres in height ever since it's peak.

My Father quitted his high paying job (ok lah, not very high paying lah but for a poor family like mine it's considered better than tok-kong.com) to drive a taxi. While the income is lower, working hours longer, but he told me he feels healthier and less pressurised. There are some elites who takes Taxis and talk as if you owe them, but my Father say it's all in the minority. He told me that at his previous company, he could feel that his body is dying because of all the stress and workload.

He told me all that crap but I was still very touched. So I swear to Guan Yin Ma that I will get my Diploma and start working so that he can retire and watch Prison Break everyday at home. While a Diploma pay is lousy only $1.5 k, but at least my more muscular body can take the stress and loads.

Life Path Number 7

Those embarking on number 7 Life Paths are affectionate, peace-loving individuals who prefer rationality to inspiration. These reserved and analytical deep-thinkers make great mathematicians, engineers, inventors, scientists and doctors.
These intellectual and studious personalities often pursue advanced academic careers. As they love to read and absorb information, they usually require a great deal of private time to cultivate their knowledge. Number 7 children often excel at school and appear to be \\"old souls\\" for their age.
Number 7 s are perfectionists who prefer silence to music, noise and crowds. They are methodical and thorough analysts who believe that \\"if you can\\'t do a job right, don\\'t do it at all.\\"
Suspicious 7\\'s do not make friends easily. They despise the guile and manipulations associated with popular culture and dismiss all who do not pass their strict moral standards. 7\\'s often appear very reserved and aloof to others and many find it takes some time to even get up the nerve to approach them. Once a 7 does make a friend, however, it is usually for life.
Although they are skeptical and analytical creatures, 7\\'s do rely on their gut instincts more than they rely on statistics, public opinion polls or advice from others. As they dislike being manipulated, television or the media disgusts many.
These hermits enjoy being alone and far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. For this reason, many of them prefer to live in the country where their nerves are not irritated by the hectic pace of urban life.
The shadow side of a 7 is a tendency to become pessimistic, overly logical, quarrelsome and pessimistic. Many 7s are brilliant and (perhaps deservedly so) feel that the world owes them a living. If you are a number 7 who can\\'t seem to deal with people at all there is a chance that abrasive character traits that were formally considered eccentric have been demoted down to repulsive. A sign that a number 7 has strayed completely off of his or her life path is a complete withdrawal from society. In this case, the troubled 7 should try to recognize his or her original ambitions to improve the world through the application of wisdom.

You want Australia's or Jiu Hoo's Honeydew ?

www.wegmans.com

Just now the Fruit Uncle asked me this. You know and I know it's a funny question. But this question set my brain juices to spray around. I thought and thought and in the end I decided on our neighbour Jiu Hoo because some of my relatives live there.

Nowadays I eat fruits everyday. Because I want to make myself healthy and make sure that I will become very very healthy when I join NS so I can safely and healthily protect my country.

I realised why. The Australia Honeydew costs $1.00, looks rounder and sexier, juicer and richer in colour. The Uncle tells me the Australia Honeydew very soft. The Jiu Hoo Honeydew costs $1.00 too. But it looks pale, less round and the Uncle tells me it's crispy. Such information scared me. Eat one fruit also so heart bitter.

I gave the Jiu Hoo Honeydew a bite. It was so crispy and juicy. I attained immortality. I finished it in 4 seconds.

After that, I understand that I made the wise choice with the Jiu Hoo Honeydew.

Today is Sunday

Today is another first day of the Chinese Lunar Calendar Month. So early in the morning I woke up to go to Si Beh Law to pay Guan Yin Ma a visit.

Before reaching the temple, I saw this poor guy sleeping with a book as a pillow in this half-assed playground. I wonder if I send this peekture to the Best Forum in Singapore aka STOMP, will Singaporeans be touched and give him 100k?

After taking that picture, I couldn't take it. So I changed my praying pattern. I asked Guan Yin Ma to make sure that no one is homeless in this world. And may the world be a better place.

I bade goodbye to Guan Yin Ma and went home. I played some games, read some news, and drank some coffee. Then when the time came I went to my Grandmother's house.

After lunch I set off for Parkway Parade and bought Maksim's latest album.

I think the cashier don't like me. She used the penknife to take out the barcode then she scratched my CD case. You may think it's only a scratch but it's not your hard-earned money. I felt so sad.

After some walking around I waited at the bustop. This ang moh boy smiled and waved at me. I felt so touched and happy. Once a wisemen said I looked like a monkey, maybe that's the reason why.

I reached home and no one was home. Today is Sunday.

Goodwood Park

The wedding dinner was at titled.

Once I reached the hotel, the bellboy opened the taxi door for me. So high class man. Even the tortoise in the mountains have experienced it, but I had never. =(

The place was very quiet and got this grand feeling. I walked around and guess what. I saw my idol, Eric Khoo, The Singaporean Movie Director.

I wanted to go inside the Bar and take a peekture with him but I shy and there's a lot of Ang Mohs inside the Bar so I very scared so in the end I never go in.

During the dinner, I felt restricted. I was sitting with complete strangers so I didn't have the ball ball to unleash the hungry beast in me. I ate very little and drank very little Watermelon juice.

Post dinner, I went home on a Mercedes taxi. The taxi don't know why like damn small. Smaller than my Father's lousy Toyota taxi. But never mind, the engine damn good. Whenever the taxi driver happy happy press the accelerator I feel like I'm sitting beside Michael Schumi. But the driver like don't like me, I speak to him in Chinese he reply in English.

I hope Wedding dinners last forever. Because after that nothing is smooth sailing and there's every chance that a Perfect Storm comes along. I wish my Auntie the best and hope she will not have a divorce again.

Suddenly I feel so sexy and handsum

I'm going to my Auntie's wedding. At first I thought I cannot make it already because I couldn't find any shirt in my cupboard. Luckily I bought a single piece for that one and only Oral Presentation a year back. Maybe things really happen for a reason.

Suddenly I feel old

Today I went to my Mother's house.

On the way there, I walked past a bunch of kids. All damn short sia like Primary School kids. How I wish I can be a Primary School boy again. =(

After dinner I came back home to watch my Manutd win. Watching this win brings tears of joy and memories before myself. It reminds me of why I like Manutd in the first place. It's not because of some treble clef, but their evergreen determination to win and be the best Football Club in the whole wide world.

Why This Writer Makes Males Sound Like 4th Class Citizens? =(

Opportunity for S'pore to lead Saturated fat not the same

Letter from P Mathavan

I refer to the letters from the Health Promotion Board (HPB) and the Agri-food and Veterinary Authority (AVA), "HPB, AVA moves to cut trans fats" (Oct 12). These are moves in the right direction, but still disappointing in the light of what research has revealed.

Differentiating food as "trans fat free" or "contains trans fat" should be mandatory — there are no safe levels of trans fats.

The fact that most countries have not made declaration of trans fats in products mandatory, is not an acceptable reason for us not to do so. Singapore leads the pack in many fields, and here is an ideal opportunity to set the standards and guidelines for the world to follow.

I suggest that HPB, with the ministries of Health and Defence, commission a study of the effects of cooking oils using national servicemen in basic military training (BMT).

NSmen make ideal trial subjects as they are young and in the peak of health, and the three-month BMT period provide a controlled test environment.

Each camp could utilise a different type of cooking oil for the trial period, with regular blood analysis done. All cooking oils available at supermarkets and coconut oil should be tested. Officers should be included, so that different age groups are tested.

The Departed

We have a I-Can't-Get-An-Oscar-Director, Leonardo Di Caprio, Matt Damon, and Jack Nicholson. All these, supremely talented individuals who didn't disappoint in their performances in the film. Still, The Departed is at best a competent(just) homage to the original Infernal Affairs.

A homage it is. Most of time, all it does is paying homage to Infernal Affairs.

The Departed is darker, because it's much more violent and merciless. The dialogue is superb. I like the soundtrack too. There are some interesting twists to the original story, but personally I thought the ending would have made a much more powerful impact had it stay intacted.

I've watched Infernal Affairs many times. But I still enjoyed The Departed. I stepped out of the cinema hall and I asked myself if I wanted to watch it again. I said yes to myself and there's no truer tests to whether a film is good or not.

Today I'm going to watch The Departed with my lao peh. It's the Ang Moh Infernal Affairs. But I don't understand why did the distributor decided to edit to cater to younger audiences. =(

Nothing to post

I haven't been posting lately, because there is nothing to post. Maybe I have lost my passion, desire, and spontaneity. =(

Like, yah know, how people can get sick of their boyfriends/girlfriends. How people can get sick of their blind-dates. Get sick of their life and so on.

But I'm not sick of posting, just that I'm holding back a lot these days. I'm starting to feel that there's no need to release my thoughts, say something about my favourite things, or criticise my friend because he's my friend.

Yesterday I went to my Ah Ma house. While taking a fishball to eat, I used a spoon and it dropped. The fishball was wasted. I bad-mouthed the fishball even when it was my lack of skills that resulted in it's wastage. My Ah Ma scolded me and asked why I scold bad word. In the past when I was young, I just used my hand. Though it may be uncivilised, low-class or whatever you call it, it's still the best way to eat a fishball. I think the lesson learnt here is either -

1) Use your hands, dirty your hands doing anything whenever possible because it gets things done the quickest and easiest.

2) Don't try too hard in life. Maybe life is not as complicated as you think.

The haze is almost cleared. Good job Wind.

I'm going to school now.
